Work and Clients
Howard has over 20 years experience of company and commercial work with a particular
specialisation in copyright, media, entertainment and sport areas. During that period he has been
involved in advising companies, joint ventures and individuals involved in the music, television,
film, aviation, IT and sports industries. The convergence of IT, IP and "traditional" entertainment
industries has meant Howard working and advising on "New Media". This has included digital
licensing, acquisition and distribution of DVD rights, internet issues relating to copyright,
including websites, open source and other software and related areas. Howard's clients include
record companies, recording artists, television production companies, publishers, software houses,
performers and writers. Howard also advises on e-commerce, data protection and privacy issues as
well as advising in relation to aviation and shipping law; in particular the acquisition, financing
and leasing of private executive jets, helicopters and yachts.
